Comet ASTR Staking allows users to stake ASTR and receive cASTR, a yield-bearing liquid staking token issued by Comet Swap. In the Staking interface, you can:

  • Stake ASTR and receive cASTR

  • Unstake cASTR and receive ASTR

  • View the current total APR (dApp Staking APR + Boost APR)

  • Track your staking balance (including accrued yield via exchange rate)

  • View global staked ASTR and historical ASTR buyback metrics

Yield via Exchange Rate (ERC-4626)

cASTR is an ERC-4626 yield-bearing token. Rewards are reflected through an increasing cASTR ↔ ASTR exchange rate, allowing users to redeem more ASTR when unstaking.

Giveback Loop Boost

Boost is funded by protocol profit used to buy back ASTR. Buybacks and dApp Staking rewards accrue into the vault, improving the exchange rate over time.
